The Story: This tree sculpture actually exists! I encountered it while roadtripping through Redwoods National Park on June 14th, 2021. I made this artwork based on a photograph I shot of the tree.

Fun Fact: This is actually only half of the tree sculpture, the other half is a portrait of the pioneer who carved the redwood. I might design an artwork to show their duality at some point… but at the time, I was so just enamored by Mother Nature’s beauty.
